Violent altitude shifts in cruise when using VisualXP + ASXP12

I did some test flights with the beta and I find the sudden shifts in wind (or whatever is causing this) that were already present with the real weather in XP12 to be even more violent while using ASXP12. With ASXP12 in the Hotstart CL650 I get frequent altitude deviation alerts because I'm thrown around by at least +/- 300ft in FL390 (but also at lower FL) and V/S shows +/-2000ftmin at times.

Latest update: Altitude variations/shifts have been confirmed caused by several different sources. Using the latest 12.05b1 XP12 version and latest VisualXP update (if used) should resolve all known cases. We will be closing this bug item off for the upcoming Beta 4. Any new altitude shifts experienced should go into a new bug report. Thank you!

This is still happening without VisualXP (I don't even own it). It's less frequent than previously, but it still happens pretty dramatically at times.

Still having those issues. Not using VisualXP. I'm losing up to 400ft in cruise just to regain it a short time later. V/S shoots up and down to about 4800ft/min.
EDIT: Even when I turn off ASXP, the shifts still happen. I don't change the weather settings in XP12.

Will Reynolds:Do you have VisualXP?

hifi-admin: no i dont, no add ons for clouds or weather. Interestingly enough....shortly after I posted, the porpoising effect went away.....it was smooth as glass after an hour or so....will try the flight again tonight. I fire up XP12, set manual weather/clear....then load up ASXP and load the flight plan....nothing else done

hifi-admin: Did a new flight....no issues whatsoever...go figure....thanks for following up, very satisfied customer, glad I waited for AS to come to XP12!

There is a confirmed compatibility issue between ASXP12 and VisualXP. We are attempting to identify and resolve the issue with the other developer. In the mean time we recommend disabling VisualXP when using ASXP12.

Awaiting further confirmation/reports from beta 3. Also awaiting compatibility check regarding ASXP12 + VisualXP, as this combo may be causing issues.

Hi there. I am still experiencing these wind-shifts with the beat 3. But they are less violent and more progressive. But i have to say that i'm using ASXP together with the plugin VisualXP (with its weather turned off). It would be great if we could use both plugins together. Thanks for your great work.

frankbyte: We have some reports that VisualXP + ASXP12 is causing such issues even with wx disabled. Can you try and confirm this by disabling VisualXP for some tests? Thank you!
frankbyte
hifi-admin: Hi, I disabled VisualXP (removed it completely from the plugin-folder) and i didn't experience these shifts again. So indeed, it looks like it's some kind of interaction wit VisualXP. Thank you.

frankbyte: Thanks. So it looks like we have confirmation of a compatibility issue with this add-on causing weather shifts/instability. We are not familiar with this add-on internally but will attempt to contact the author to obtain more information and potential resolution.

hifi-admin: That‘s great. Thanks very much.
