Currently flying in South America near the equator and noticed that there is snow textures on the ground during rain showers. I switched in game weather from manual weather to Download Real Weather and the ground textures appeared without snow. Not sure if it's an X-plane issue. I have only noticed this while running Active Sky 12 Just thought I'd report.

planned
This is most likely due to our "global force" of flight conditions to all altitudes/layers currently, including surface. So if you are at cruise alt, with negative temps, these are propagated to the surface and XP12 is doing what it is supposed to. We have explicit/unique layer population planned in future builds to solve this and a few other issues related to this.
