This is an XP12 issue, you can re-create this with XP12 manual weather. We are unable to resolve this from ASXP12 side. Suggest confirming and reporting this as XP12 bug, the more reports the better.

Mathias Vercauteren No, there is no way to resolve this with the XP menu. You can confirm the issue, using Manually Enter Weather mode, without AS loaded, and create any cloud layer that intersects with the terrain. It has the same effect. The reason live wx may not show this is likely due to different wx conditions (clouds not intersecting terrain). Your graphic settings have an impact on this and can make it a little better, but I have not been able to eliminate this myself on several different systems/setups. I understand this is a known limitation/issue in XP12 at this time. You may wish to confirm the issue and create a bug report with LR for XP12, as there is nothing we can do with our weather add-on to resolve this.
